Time: 1pm-4pm (Vendor setup begins at 12:00 PM)
Cost: Free! No vendor fees!

Looking to buy, sell, or trade farm equipment, tools, or materials? This event is a great opportunity to connect with fellow farmers, gardeners, and homesteaders while finding great deals on used farm goods.

Ripshin Goat Dairy will be donating proceeds from their sales to Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture. There are no vendor fees, so if you’re interested in selling, simply sign up to reserve your spot. You can also enjoy a community potluck—bring a dish to share and spend the afternoon with community! 
When: December 15th, 2024. 1pm-4pm
Where: Watauga Agricultural Conference Center

​Join Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture, Kristin Wilson, and Dr. Olivia Dhaliwal for a  workshop centered on care, connection, and community for our High Country farmers. This supportive space is designed for reflection, healing, and meaningful connections with fellow farmers.

At this workshop we’ll explore practices of healing and wellness that help to sustain your farming career. We will focus on both physical and mental care practices for you to implement to support your body and mind while farming.

Healing Harvest Community Meal

What a beautiful, memorable event! Thank you for your support as we pivoted from our annual fundraiser to an event centered on gathering together to heal and nourish our souls with food, friends, music and art, and to remember Brittany Robinson from Four Winds Farm. 

Mountain Elevation Realty and FizzEd host benefit night for BRWIA
October 30, 2024

Thank you to FizzEd and Mountain Elevation Realty for hosting a benefit night for BRIW! Folks enjoyed a delicious meal and great live music by the talented Hope Harvey and Joe Bumgarner. Christina Bailey and Jonathan Lehman of Mountain Elevation Realty are amazing advocates of local food and raised over $500 from their walking stick raffle and direct donations. Thanks to all who came out for the event! 

Local Meat Sale 
October 24, 2024
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Local Meat Sale a success! We are continually inspired by how our community shows up for one another, and this event was no exception.

​We want to extend our gratitude to Ross Aglialoro and Cassie Adler of eightpointfive, who generously donated their time and ingredients to serve fantastic smash burgers, with all proceeds going to support Double Up Food Bucks. Thanks to their efforts, we raised $980 from burger sales alone! Another huge thank you to Matt Campbell of Elevate Chiropractic for sponsoring the Freezer Raffle @elevatechiropt contributing to a total of $1,845 raised for Double Up Food Bucks!

This event wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated staff and volunteers, including Keith Tindall, Charles Pace, and Hannah Cowels—thank you for being such an all-star team!

Local Food as Medicine Summit
​March 7, 2024

BRWIA convened an Annual LocalFAM Summit in February 2023 and March 2024. We brought together food access organizations, farmers, and community stakeholders to learn from other professionals who are passionate about healthy food access and to collaborate to form strategic partnerships and to find solutions to community food access issues. 

On average, 1 in 8 people experience food insecurity in the High Country (Source: feedingamerica.org)
